From his roots in Western Massachusetts, to Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and now to his new home in Seattle, Washington, indie folk-rock singer-songwriter Johnny Sunrise draws inspiration from love, longing, the "quarter-life crisis," and life’s uncertainty.

Johnny grew up primarily as a drummer, but his unforeseen travels up and down the East Coast and the isolation of the pandemic brought him closer to his neglected guitar. Johnny established himself in the NC Triangle music scene over the past few years by performing original songs with honest lyrics and a soulful voice. He builds his musical community by organizing shows, rehearsals, and hosting open mics— always with a smile and a healthy dose of banter.

In Seattle, Johnny hopes to continue what he started: making sure where there is music, there is community.
